Today after taraweeh, some county board members came to give a talk to all the Muslims. The Imam was shaking their hands one by one. One of the board members was a girl. She reached her hand out and the Imam told her, "I'm sorry, I can't shake your hand." MLIM

Today, I was buying cookies from a local store. When I asked the cashier a question, she yelled at me to "Speak English! This isn't Saudi Arabia!" I am a hijabi and I only speak English. MLIM.

Today, a Jehovah's Witness came up to me to talk about Jesus. I told him I was Muslim and that I wanted to talk about Jesus(pbuh) as well! He abruptly walked away. MLIM

Today (Ramadan 17th), I just finished reading the 24th Juz' of the Qur'an. If I can keep up the pace, I'll be completing the whole Qur'an twice this year insha'Allah, the first time in all twenty-some years of my life to do so. Alhamdulillah, MLIM

Today, after iftar, me and another hafidh were eating and I was told to lead the salah. As I'm walking up to the musalla, an uncle sees me and tells the other hafidh to lead because he was wearing shalwar kamees. MLIM
